The NMRS runs two exhibitions every year, one in the spring and one in the autumn. These shows feature a wide variety of top quality layouts in various scales and eras, plus trade support.

Spring Show 2026: Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th April, St John’s Church Hall, Nottingham Road, Hucknall, NG15 7QN.

Autumn Show 2026: Date and venue to be confirmed.

The club also assists the annual Model Railway Exhibition at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre, Mere Way, Ruddington, Nottingham, NG11 6JS.

2026 dates: Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May.

We also occasionally collaborate on other events, such as displaying our Ilkeston Town layout at the Erewash Museum in Ilkeston in January 2020, or a celebration of Colwick Locomotive Shed and Marshalling Yard in Carlton in March 2023.
